description |
Firestopit Stopseal® Board and Sealant have been developed to prevent the passage of fire and smoke between fire rated compartments. Stopseal Board is designed to allow the installation of services with ease, giving a 4 hour fire rating to BS476 parts 20&22 and prEN1366 pt3. The Stopseal Board has a 180kg/m mineral fibre core coated with the Stopseal ablative water based acrylic sealant on both sides, having excellent fire and elastomeric properties. At normal temperatures, the Stopseal board installed with Stopseal sealant remains flexible to permit thermal and mechanical movement of the services. Both products are unaffected by oil, fungus, moisture, vermin, weather and contain no halogens or asbestos.
