Silverflame Wrap

description

Silverflame® Pipe Wrap is an intumescent composition based on EPDM binder and designed to provide high volume expansion and pressure seal. The product is fire tested to BS 476 part 20 giving a fire resistance of up to 4 hours.
The pipes tested include UPVC, Polypropylene and ABS up to a size of 200mm diameter pipes through concrete / block work floors and walls.

installation

• Place wrap around pipe and secure with adhesive tape supplied.
• Adjust the position of the wrap so that the edge is approximately 10mm within the wall or floor surface.
• Fill annular gap with Silverseal Fire Mortar.
• Maintain record of installation.

storage and disposal

Silverflame Pipe Wrap is not affected by outdoor environment. However, for long-term storage and ease of installation, it is recommended that it should be stored indoors. No limit is given for the shelf life as the product will not deteriorate in storage.
